ADRENALIN ADVENTURES INCLUDING MOUNTAIN
CLIMBING, ROCK CLIMBING AND PARAGLIDING
East Africa is home to two of the world’s most
magnificent mountains- Mount Kilimanjaro and Mt Kenya, which provide
spectacular mountaineering for the beginner and the avid
professional alike.
For the serious rock climber, there is an impressive array of
climbs, of all grades, in awe inspiring scenery.
We are happy to integrate climbing and mountaineering into a safari
design or as a trip in itself.
As for paragliding…the thermals, gobsmacking views and the freedom
from crowded skies speak for themselves.
ART

We have internationally acclaimed artists who are happy to
accompany you on your safari and provide tuition or an artists
record of your safari.
BEACH

We have access to some of the finest, most sought after and
exclusive beach properties and lodges on the Indian Ocean coastline.
From tropical islands to the culturally unique Arab seaports of Lamu
and Zanzibar.
A few days relaxing, on a pristine beach, after a safari, before
returning home provides an ideal end to a wonderful holiday.
For the more energetic- spectacular diving, sailing, snorkelling,
kite surfing and deep sea fishing are all within easy access of our
properties
BIRD SHOOTING
For those who love the sport, we can easily fit in one or two days
bird shooting on any safari.
Kenya has some of the finest rough, walk up bird shooting in Africa.
Great sport can be had with shooting Francolin, sand grouse, guinea
fowl, duck and pigeon, in some of the most scenic and remote areas
of Kenya.
CAMEL AND WALKING SAFARI

A wonderful way of travelling through landscape of compelling
beauty, in the more remote untouched wildernesses of Kenya, which
are inaccessible to vehicles.
On foot, you will experience the freedom and thrill of seeing game
close up while enjoying the languid pace of a walking safari.
The camels replace the porters of old carrying all the equipment,
food and drink that ensure none of the vintage style of our classic
safaris is lost.
CONSERVATION AND RESEARCH
We are involved with numerous conservation, research and community
projects. Should you wish, we are happy to organise a “working
science safari” where you will be part of a science or community
team, including: Elephant research, Cheetah research and Bird
research and ringing.
COOKING
This is a cooking course with a difference. You’ve been on cooking
courses in Tuscany or Ireland, but how about enjoying the wonderful
fusion of a cooking course intertwined with a classic African
safari.
The cookery classes take place between game drives and we have top
chefs, who are willing to accompany any of our safaris and who are
able to teach almost any cuisine that you care to choose.
CULTURE

For those clients who want a safari centred on local peoples and
their unique cultures and heritage, we are able to organise safaris
to some of the most unaffected and untouched communities in East and
Central Africa.
DHOW SAFARI

For a truly unique holiday, imagine island hopping, under sail in a
renovated Arab Dhow of old, along the remote unspoiled East African
coastline.
The Dhow Sleeps up to ten people and is fully equipped with showers,
dressing room, diving gear, a water skiing and fishing launch, and
is staffed by a team of eight including a chef.
Total relaxation for the mind, body and soul.
FISHING
|
Whether deep sea fishing, in the azure blue tropical waters of the
Indian ocean, for marlin, fishing for 100lb Nile Perch on inland
lakes or fly fishing for trout in mountain rivers, we are happy to organise these excursions as part of your safari with a professional
fishing guide.

GORILLA AND CHIMPANZEE

The joy of watching gorillas or chimpanzees in their natural
environment, is a once in lifetime experience enjoyed by a
privileged few.
We operate guided trips to the superbly named “Mountains of the
Moon”- the Ruwenzori Mountains of Rwanda, which have the largest
population of wild gorillas and chimpanzees in the world.
Of necessity, groups are small and a certain amount of fitness is
required for the 2 day trek through the forests to their breeding,
nesting and feeding grounds.
A truly poignant and memorable experience.
HELI-SAFARIS

The ultimate, quickest and most comfortable way to visit the most
remote, untouched and majestic locations in Africa.
Whether you decide to take a sundowner trip to the Chalbi desert,
lake hop up the Great Rift Valley, fly up Mount Kenya to fish for
trout or you simply wish to use a helicopter for your entire
safari, we have a wide range of itineraries for you to choose from.
HORSE BACK SAFARIS

If you relish the idea of galloping across endless African plains
almost within touching distance of antelope, giraffe, elephant and
lion, then this is the safari for you.
We ride for about 4 hours a day and arrive at one of
our vintage mobile camps, which has been put up for you and which is
dismantled as you ride out of camp in the morning.
A unique, timeless adventure not to be missed. Some riding
experience is necessary.
HOT AIR BALLOONING

A morning floating languidly over the Maasai Mara plains, watching
the migration of millions of wildebeest, unaware of your presence,
from the peace and serenity of a balloon. The trip is completed
with a champagne breakfast under an acacia tree.
A life long memory. A must if we are on safari in the Maasai Mara.
HUNTING
We can arrange hunting trips in many African Countries including
Tanzania, Botswana, Mozambique, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. Please contact
us for further details.
ORNITHOLOGICAL
|
For the committed “birder” we are happy to offer a bird centred
safari (in addition, of course, to viewing game), that takes you to
sites of special ornithological interest in East Africa.
Amongst them: Kakamega rain forest, the lakes of the Great Rift
Valley (Lakes Nakuru, Borgoria & Baringo) and unique sites like the
Arabuko Sokoke Forest, where you see numerous endemic, resident and
European migratory species.

VISTAS

Africa offers extreme, magical contrasts in landscape and if you
enjoy the excitement of exploration, we can arrange safaris on foot,
camel, car, mule, helicopter or plane to untouched, secluded and far
flung places throughout East and Central Africa.
For those who like the path less travelled with a touch of style and
luxury.

WALKING

Walking through the African bush with an armed safari guide,
touching, smelling and hearing Africa is an unparalled experience.
From the smallest dung beetle or the dew on a leaf to the sight of a
grazing herd of elephant, unaware of your presence, being on safari
takes on a new dimension.
You arrive in untouched Africa and leave it untouched.
